We're often visited by wildlife, especially birds including quail and roadrunners like this one. No, it didn't say beep-beep, but there was also nothing chasing it.
We moved here for the dry and sunny climate, and picked this house for the mountain view out the back wall of windows.
It rarely rains. After all, this is the high desert. But when it does we get spectacular rainbows.
We did have a bobcat come by this past fall.
Snow is even less frequent, and when it comes it's well-behaved, making the mountain even more beautiful, and we don't have to shovel.
My table at Bubonicon 47 Science Fiction and Fantasy convention in Albuquerque, August 2015. I got tons of compliments on my shirt, so I continue to wear it often, and I sold lots of books. Lately, it's become more appropriate.
